I just returned from a sunny weekend in Miami photographing the artists and events associated with the Stages project for Nike/Livestrong. See photos from the opening during Art Basel.

For the last 52 years, a group of men have been meeting regularly to discuss life and work. They call themselves the Wednesday 10. I sat in on one of their meetings for an article in today's Wall Street Journal. They are an interesting bunch with plenty of professional wisdom and a longevity I cannot begin to comprehend. Take a look at the slideshow.

I had a couple of stories in this week's Wall Street Journal. The first was a story about music therapy for dementia patients, which came out on Tuesday. The second article is in today's issue and deals with numismatics, or coin-collecting as it's commonly known.

I spent a lot of the last month photographing Khalid Latif. He's a young Muslim chaplain that works for NYU and the NYPD. His story appeared today on the front page of The National, an English language newspaper based in Abu Dhabi. We also put together an audio slideshow that touches on a different side of Khalid.

I have prints in two different photo shows both opening tonight. The first is an auction through Critical Exposure in Washington, DC. I'm honored to show among the ranks of Ed Kashi and Damon Winter, all the while benefiting a program that seeks to engage intercity youth through photography. The second show is called Sweet Ride and is part of the Bicycle Film Festival in Melbourne, Australia. One of my images from Colombia is adorning the flyer.

Last Sunday Those About To Die Salute You opened at the Queens Museum in Queens, NY. The project is part performance and part installation by artist Duke Riley. I documented his vision for Wired back in August. Some of my photos are on display at the museum as part of the exhibition. Artist prints will be available through Magnan Projects soon. The show will run through March 13th, 2010.

I worked on two stories for today's Wall Street Journal. The first article is about parents encouraging their children to model in hopes of securing extra income for the family. And the second story explores the potential benefits and drawbacks of today's teens' obsessive text-messaging.

Today is Halloween, but what about the costumes we wear in everyday life? I photographed writer Rich Cohen and fashion editor Vanessa Friedman for the Financial Times Style section regarding the clothing they wear for different aspects of their lives. Cohen discusses his outfits for a book tour and Friedman talks about her mom gear. Both were a pleasure.

Since May, I've been photographing some of the world's best contemporary artists for a project called Stages. It's an art exhibition curated by Lance Armstrong as a charity benefit for his Livestrong Foundation. The exhibition opens in NYC at Deitch Projects on October 31st. I am currently contributing to a blog about the project, including artist interviews, studio visits and even bike rides.
